Farmers Markets
In Saint Louis, we have a number of year round Farmers Markets. Soulard Market has been around since 1779… I would go every weekend if I lived a little closer. Although, It’s always worth the drive, Amazing selection of fresh veggies and most anything else you could think of.
I urge you to find a couple of your nearest Farmers markets on LocalHarvest, Go and make a day of it.
They are a blast and you will find some great food for very low prices. I love bell peppers, usually they can be had green 5 for $1, red 3 or 4 for $1. How much did you spend the last time you bought peppers?

You can find many great deals at farmers markets. I don’t usually buy items however, I am usually the seller. I’ve farmed all my life and I can even remember my grandfather and I taking trips to South Carolina to pick up peaches and bring back to sell in addition to crops we raised on our farm.
