Henry Repeating Arms – Lever Carbine .22 S/L/LR

My Uncle and I went to the shooting range last weekend. I enjoy plinking at targets.

We setup our targets, mine was at the 50 yard and about an 8-inch target with 2-inch wide rings . Turned off the “cease fire light”. He was testing something that about made me mess my pants every time.

Loaded this baby up with some Federal .22 LR and began plinking away. First few shots were difficult to tell where they ended up. Once the sight was adjusted a little, they started hitting the target. I’m not very accurate… This guy However is very accurate with his Golden boy, testament to how accurate the Henry rifles really are.  The main thing is, I need to do more testing. The plan is to put up some wax paper next time to get an idea of where stuff is really hitting, and I need a monocular.

I setup another target to test my old Winchester 190, Got the scope sighted in and I was able to hit the middle 4 inches of the target, most of the time. Still.. This one was missing something. I love the action of cranking that leaver after every shot. The Winchester 190 dosn’t have that.

All in all, I’m proud to own this fine firearm.  I can’t wait to go shooting again, maybe hunting. Also trying to figure out what Henry Rifle to pickup next.
